Default Possible uses for mini-pets

appart from being a bit of a laugh and adding another commodity to the trade-chat, what good are mini-pets? they follow you around, occasionally make a noise and are sometimes the topic of conversation at the start of a mission.

wouldn't it be helpful if the collected your drops or gold for you? seeing as they never get attacked should make the job that much easier for them.

They are meant to be pointless trinkets.

Quite right. They are meant to be pointless trinkets that people don't need. But damn, that's a cool idea! I'd love it if my little Jade started picking up my gold for me.

Still.... pointless trinkets. Everyone would want a minipet if they did that, and there are obviously not enough for everyone.

Then we can have Siege Turtles fire their cannons for Catapult damage.

Eh, as it was said, they're meant to just be little things you get for sticking to the game for a year. They're fun to watch run around. Like a lot of things in Guild Wars, their value is decided by their aesthetics.

Undivine, are you saying everybody doesn't already want a minipet?

And Nikki, that was an over exageration. I mean come on, it's just picking up gold. Not some over powering uber leet thing.

I for one /sign.

(do i think it'll get implemented? No. But it'd still be nice)

I was kidding. You know, a joke.

How hard is it to *click* stuff and pick it up? In missions after the end it tells you all the stuff you didn't pick up and gives you the option of taking it. It can also take the stuff you don't pick up because you don't want it and clutter your inventory really fast. If players picked up everything that dropped for them, we'd need about 10 more bags for the extra 50 slots.

Yeah, but what if you're dead. This stops people ninja-ing your drops.

In doungeon Siege, they had a spell summoning a little creatyre that would run around and pick up gold & loot for you. It would be nice if the minipets could do that ^^
